Maulidur-Rasul Talk

Assalamualaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh,

Last Saturday, BruStol organised a talk in conjunction with the Maulidurrasul. The invited speaker was Ustaz Haji Sammali bin Haji Adam, the official religious officer of the UPP. The event was started by the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah led by Fauzan, BruStol's male religious officer.

The guest of honour, Cg Ali Hamdani Haji Md Diah, the Director of Studies of UPP, then proceeded to give a brief speech followed by another speech by BruStol's president, Nouzhah. It was then time for the highlight of the event. Ustaz Haji Sammali gave a talk on Maulidurrasul Celebrations to highlight the importance of celebrating the Maulidurrasul appropriately and also some stories on how the Arabs used to live during jahilliyah.

After the talk, some of the attendees took the opportunity to ask Ustaz Haji Sammali some questions regarding the topic of the talk as well as on some general Islamic matters. Then, it was time for Dhikir Marhaban led by Abdul Mu’izz bin Junaidi, Brunei Student's Union's Religious Officer.

Nouzhah and Nuruddin then took the stage and gave some gifts to the Guest of Honour, Cg Ali Hamdani and our invited speaker, Ustaz Haji Sammali. Ustaz then recited a prayer to conclude the event and then it was time for everybody to enjoy the prepared lunch. Finally, all the Muslim attendees performed the Zuhur prayers led by Fauzan. The event ended at 2.00PM.

Our heartfelt thanks go to Cg. Ali Hamdani Haji Mohd Diah, UPP's Director of Studies, Cg. Hajah Azizan DP Hj Othman, UPP's Assistant Director of Studies, Cg.
