Hello everyone!
This year, for the first time, BruStol has teamed up with BruBath and BruEx to introduce an exciting, new event for all of Bruneian students in the UK and Eire to enjoy:
The South-West Cook-Off Challenge!
The competition was held on Sunday the 1st of March, 2015 from 8.00 am to 5.00 pm at the Hamilton House in Stokes Croft, Bristol BS1 3QY and was sponsored by Brunei Student Union, Brunei Halal and Adinin Works & Engineering Sdn. Bhd.
BruStol, BruBath and BruEx would like to thank everyone who attended and supported us in our first ever Cook-Off, and hope that many more will come for our South-West England exclusive annual event.
The competition was split into three categories:
Category 1: Tumpi and Kari Ayam
Known as the Technical Challenge, each candidate had 40 minutes each to follow a given recipe to create an accurate and tasty set of Tumpi and Kari Ayam.
Category 2: Mystery Box
Each candidate was given a box of previously unknown ingredients with which they had to create any dish they could imagine. Each dish had to have at least 2 of the 7 provided items, and extra points were awarded with each additional ingredients. Candidates were allowed to supplement their dishes with other common ingredients, but needed to highlight the presence of the special items. The aforementioned articles were Chocolate, Pineapple, Orange, Lemon, Cashew Nuts, Raisins and Oyster Sauce.
Category 3: Specialty Dish
Candidates who registered would have sent in a recipe for the unique dishes they intended to prepare for the third and last category preceding the event. The committee would then purchase the required ingredients and equipment noted in their recipes for the day itself.
Unlike the other two categories, the third challenge required a team of two to cook two dishes (in this case a main and a dessert) instead of one cook and one recipe in the limited time given. Candidates were presumed to have practiced beforehand, thus presenting possibly the most elegant and delicious dishes of the competition. The honorary judges for this event were members of the UPP who came to preside over the Cook-Off.
The grand-prize winners for the event was BruBath's "Bathguette, you get?". The evening was ended with a speech by Cikgu Ali Hamdani Hj Muhamad Diah, the Director of Studies of Unit Penuntut-Penuntut, the presentations of prizes to the winners and token of appreciation to UPP and a photo session.
Once again, we would like to thank everyone for attending as well as apologize for any inconvenience caused during or by the event.
Look forward to next year!

ReplyDeleteHi, I just want to share my experience with everyone. I have being hearing about this blank ATM card for a while and i never really paid any interest to it because of my doubts. Until one day i discovered a hacking guy called MR GEORGE. he is really good at what he is doing. Back to the point, I inquired about The Blank ATM Card. If it works or even Exist. They told me Yes and that its a card programmed for only money withdraws without being noticed and can also be used for free online purchases of any kind. This was shocking and i still had my doubts. Then i gave it a try and asked for the card and agreed to their terms and conditions.. Four days later I received my card and tried with the closest ATM machine close to me, to my greatest surprise It worked like magic. I was able to withdraw up to $3000 daily. ATM has really change my life. If you want to contact them, Here is the email address georgewilder402@gmail.com
