BruStol Leavers' Lunch

BruStol hosted a Leavers' Lunch as a token of appreciation for those who will be leaving Bristol and will be graduating soon.

" Time has gone too quickly that it feels like it was just yesterday that we met. Now it is time for us to say goodbye to our beloved seniors who will be graduating soon. So, the BruStol committee has come to a decision to have a final gathering with all BruStol Society members.

Last Tuesday, 26^th June 2012, we had our Annual Leavers’ Lunch at 4500 Miles from Delhi restaurant. The foods were served buffet style and they were all delicious! The event started off at around 12.30 pm by a short greeting from our emcee, Mee Lin, followed by a recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah led by Hafiz. Mee Lin continued to liven up the event by having some games. She divided us into five groups consisting of five people and she came up with some interesting group names which were Ruby, Emerald, Bronze, Silver and Gold. All groups were able to participate in all the games. The games were; ‘guessing who is that leaver’, BruStol’s all-time favourite pantun competition and accomplishing some dares. There was also a best dress competition. The result of this competition was based on majority votes from all members. The best dressed female goes to Chia Yuin and male goes to Hafiz. The lunch continues on with catching up stories and updates between members.

To show our appreciation to the leavers, the Leavers’ Lunch Committee has prepared some gifts. The gift presentation was presented by our president Nouzhah along with Eka as representative to give out the gifts for female leavers and Yamin for male leavers. After the gift presentation, Ka Zak, Ka Salwa and Senior Muiz each shared a tearful yet inspiring speech. Our president also took the opportunity to deliver a speech on behalf of BruStol. The event ended with a group photo.

Finally, thank you to the Leavers’ Lunch Committee for making the event successful, fun and memorable. You deserve a big round of applause. Also thank you to all who came and support the event and made the event cheerful. To all the leavers; Ka Salwa, Ka Zak, Ka Fizah, Ka Fy, Ka Aisyah, Ka Safwanah, Ka Amalina, Emily Goh, Wafaa, Senior Muiz, Senior Haziq, Senior Haq, Senior Naj, Senior Kong and Senior Kon, congratulations on your graduation! Hope you succeed in most things. Wish you all the best and goodluck!
