Hello everyone!
Once again, BruStol has teamed up with BruBath, BruEx and BruSton to bring you:
The Bruneian South-West Cook-Off Challenge
Teams of three will engage in a battle of wit, creativity and magnificent knife-handling in this annual Bruneian cooking competition and test the limits of culinary innovation and teamwork. The competition will be open to all Bruneian students in the UK and Eire.
Category One: The Technical Challenge.
A single contestant will have a set amount of time to prepare a given recipe (provided on the day) to recreate an accurate, yet delicious traditional Bruneian dish.
Category Two; The Mystery Box
A single contestant will be given a crate full of assorted ingredients that will be unknown until they enter the kitchen. At least two of the mystery ingredients must be used, and each successive ingredient used will earn more points. Other common ingredients, such as flour and salt, will be provided.
Category Three: The Specialty Dish
Unlike the previous rounds, two contestants will have to cook two dishes (a mains and dessert), following recipes already emailed beforehand, which will be expected to have been perfected.
The competition will be held on Saturday, the 28th of February, 2016 from 8.00 am to 5.00 pm at the Hamilton House in Stokes Croft, Bristol BS1 3QY,
